Scott McKeon

'New Morning' is an earthy, raw, guitar-lead record, showcasing Scott's range and ability as a guitarist. The album was recorded live in the studio at RAK in London, capturing the energy and spontaneity of the sessions. ‘New Morning’ was produced by Paul Stacey (Black Crowes/Oasis), and features Jeremy Stacey (Sheryl Crow/Tal Wilkenfield) on drums, Rocco Palladino (Tom Misch/ D'Angelo) on bass, and Gavin Conder (Rufus Black/The Kondoors) as vocalist on several tracks. The first single ‘Third Eye Witness’ was released on 19.02.21, and has already made it onto Spotify’s ‘Modern Blues Rock’ playlist alongside international artists lincluding The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, Kurt Vile and Gary Clark Jr.

Masterlink

‘Live at Masterlink’ was born out of the ‘Masterlink Sessions’: invited guests performing 100% live in the studio with the studio house band beautifully filmed by videographer Leo Mansell from Shoot and Splice. Extended out from the series of popular videos the team have now expanded their offering by organising circa 20 min live-stream concerts, not only from the house band with their invited guests but also other artists and bands sharing the community values. This is our own spin on ‘Daryl’s House’ and ‘NPR Tiny Desk Concerts’ from leafy Surrey, Great Britain. The ‘Masterlink Sessions’ are a joint venture of Stefan Redtenbacher (Redtenbacher's Funkestra), James Welch (Masterlink Productions) and Leo Mansell (Shoot and Splice) to strengthen the community of creative and like-minded musicians who love music with timeless values, played live and for real. The sessions initially became most known for featuring noted international artists in the genres of funk, soul, blues and jazz, but more recently this has been extended to include a wider, more unbounded remit that features rock, 'Americana', singer-songwriters and more.

The intention is always to record 100% live in the studio, nodding towards the great studio bands of the ‘60s like The Funk Brothers (Motown), The Swampers (Muscle Shoals) and The Mar-Keys (Staxs). Capturing the energy and chemistry between the artist and the 'crack' studio band is at the heart of all their recordings, all videoed by film maker Leo Mansell, further reflecting the 'organic' nature of the proceedings.

So far, over 50 videos have been produced featuring artists such as Hamish Stuart (AWB, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr), Sarah Jane Morris, US Grammy award winning Mike Farris, Jo Harman, Orphy Robinson MBE, Louise Clare Marshall (Jools Holland) and many more. Masterlink aims to not only feature some of the most established and respected names in the business, but also give a platform for emerging artists who truly have the talent to perform at the required level. Its 'A&R' advisory team includes BiGiAM Artist Services and other management organisations geared to supporting credible artists with like-minded values.

The studio house band (a.k.a. the Funkestra) generally runs as a small collective of international, yet UK-based world-class musicians (with CV's to prove it - think Bowie, Elton John, Annie Lennox, Mark Ronson & more) which, at its core, comprises:

Stefan Redtenbacher (bs, producer) Mike Sturgis (drs), Karl Vanden Bossche (perc), Mike Outram/Tony Remy (gtr), Ross Stanley (keys)
